My name is Brenda Givens, and I am a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner and Certified Body Code Practitioner.

In 2015, I started on a journey of learning as much as I could about WHY there is so much cancer in this world. It seemed like it touched the lives of so many - and I wanted to learn about natural ways to avoid it. Well, as you can imagine, that was a rabbit hole. I learned a LOT about how chemicals in and outside of our body are a big culprit, so I have made many changes in the products I use on myself and in my home. I removed all amalgam fillings and root canals removed and switched to a mostly organic and non-GMO diet. I dove into essential oils, supplements, and the list goes on.

In 2018, my 80 year old mother, who was in great health, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I was in complete and utter disbelief! I thought, how in the WORLD did THIS happen? She decided she did not want to go the “traditional route” of treatment so I sprang into action. I took all of my knowledge and put it into practice. We went and saw a Naturopathic Doctor in Michigan, and he mentioned a holistic Doctor that ran a clinic in Florida that treated cancer naturally.

We decided that the natural way was the only way. We went to Utopia Wellness center in Florida where all they do is treat this dis-ease naturally. The doctor that runs the clinic said the magic words that brought me here….it was probably caused from her feeling STUCK! What? Feelings can cause cancer? There has GOT to be something to this, and I had to figure it out. I spent the next month at this clinic with my mom, and I learned a LOT about natural ways to help your body fight this horrible dis-ease, but unfortunately, we were too late to make a life-changing impact for her. I took her back to Michigan to be with our family, and she passed away on January 19th, 2019, just 4-months after being diagnosed.

I was of course, devastated beyond words. It took me a while to pick myself back up, but I couldn’t get this emotion thing out of my head. Was this the missing piece? One day I sat down at my computer and started searching. I came to a website - discoverhealing.com, and there was Dr. Bradley Nelson, talking about how “trapped emotions” cause pain, sickness and dis-ease! I decided to purchase his book - The Emotion Code. I read it cover to cover and learned that when we are going through a traumatic experience, we sometimes trap negative emotions in our body because we are too overwhelmed to process them fully. These trapped emotions are little balls of energy, about the size of your fist, that cause imbalances in the body. These imbalances block the body’s natural healing ability to function correctly.

The cool thing about this energy healing technique is that anyone can learn how to do it - even ME. So, of course I did. I drove to work the next day and grabbed a few of my co-workers that were willing to let me try it out, and to ALL of our amazement - IT WORKED! I was able to find and release trapped emotions in both of them. I ended up working on family and friends for a while, and they were also amazed.

My healing journey continued at an awesome little store in my home town of Midland, Michigan, called “Ways to Wellness”. One of the lovely owners, Jo, muscle tested me for a suspected allergy to Lavender Essential Oil. I had never heard of muscle testing before, but she showed me how it worked using my outstretched arm. It amazes me when I look back on my journey as to how God was dropping all of these little tidbits of my how my future was going to play out. I had a few energy healing sessions done on myself - Reiki, Angel Reiki, therapeutic massages, and attended a health fair where I received psychic readings, a photo of my aura - all kinds of really cool stuff that all revolved around energy healing. I didn’t really realize it at the time, but I believe this was God’s way of showing me that there is more to this life than we have been taught.  I started to open my eyes, and my heart, to this new and exciting world. I decided I wanted to learn more about it, so I started taking some classes. I became First and Second Degree Reiki certified.

In July, 2020, I took a good hard look at my life. I had been married for 32 years, had two beautiful children who were grown and out of the house. As hard as I tried, I finally gave into the fact that my husband and I were incompatible, and the marriage had been over for years. I knew RIGHT where I was going to end up if I allowed myself to stay STUCK in this unhappy marriage…. that word was all too familiar! I filed for divorce. It was hard, but it had to be done.

Once I moved out, I dove head-first into learning all I could about intuition, energy work, angels, anything that piqued my interest in the spiritual world. I spent a lot of time learning about a different kinds of Reiki. I learned how to get messages from people who have passed, and give them to their loved ones. I worked on quite a few people as part of the certification course, and did deliver some messages from loved ones, but I quickly realized that just wasn’t for me. I knew I was headed in the right direction, but I still hadn’t found “my thing.”

I had a few spiritual readings done, and I kept hearing over and over that my mom was with me, and wanted to help me with this energy work - and that I am meant to be a teacher. I was thrilled to know my mom was with me through all of this, but I was still lost…. wandering aimlessly, trying to figure out where I fit. I then took another class at “Ways to Wellness” with a very lovely person who would eventually help me get to where I am now - Kathryn Andries, and guess what the course was called…. “Master Your Life Purpose!” During this course, I found that I WAS on the right path, and heard again, that I am meant to be a teacher. When you hear the same thing from different people, you just have to listen eventually, right? I took a few other classes and workshops with Kathryn, and she has helped me so much along my way! Now that a lot of my questions had been answered…. what’s next?

In May of 2023, my twin sister and I quit our jobs, packed up our lives and moved to Florida. I knew I needed to get out of our small town and come to a place where I could figure out who I am and what I want. I knew I was meant to be some kind of energy healer and teacher but I still didn’t know how. The first few weeks after we arrived in Florida, I was made aware of an event called “I Can Do It!” in Tampa. It was a collection of all different kinds of energy healers, astrologers, authors…and I just HAD to go. It was an awesome weekend and it let me know that I was in the right place, at the right time. God has a way of doing that! A few months later, guess who was coming to Florida to do a workshop…Kathryn Andries! Of course I went to it. Again, I was told I was on the right path, and I am going to be some kind of teacher…so I kept moving forward.

In November, 2023, I found that Dr. Bradley Nelson was coming to Cape Canaveral, FL to do a seminar on his second healing modality - The Body Code. I was instantly excited and bought my ticket…and the book.  I learned all I could from the book before the seminar. I met Dr. Nelson and his lovely wife, Jeanne, and witnessed miracles that weekend. During the course of the seminar, I learned that these “trapped emotions” that I had previously been releasing for fun, had such a negative impact the body - causing imbalances that give us pain and sickness. I felt like I had finally come full circle. This was it! This is my “thing”!

It took almost 10 years, but all of the connections, all of the lovely (and some not so lovely!) people God put in my path, all of the life experiences - especially the death of my mother - was all part of this amazing journey!

I know this healing modality is from God (Creator, Source, Universe). Dr. Nelson got every piece of it from our Creator, and so part of the practice involves saying a prayer before every session. I believe that God plans our life for us, and sends us our Angels and Spiritual Guides to help keep us on our path, even when we don’t realize it. That is the reason I am right here, where I am supposed to be! I live a 55+ community where there are SO many people living with pain and sickness. I am fortunate that some allowed me to practice on them - and we have already witnessed miracles! We have seen back pain disappear, sugar levels drop, migraine headaches vanish, oxygen systems no longer needed, knee and shoulder pain disappear, PTSD improve, sleep improvement, arthritis pain and inflammation lessen, the list goes on. I do not claim to diagnose or heal anyone. God uses me to find and remove the imbalances in their bodies so it can heal itself. “I just work here”…as Dr. Nelson would say.

I truly believe that Energy Healing is the way of the future. People are bogged down by the financial, physical, and emotional burdens of our current “health care” system. Energy healing is different, and I am still absolutely amazed by the success stories. You didn’t come to this website by accident. You were led here for a reason. It is time to try something different! This works on adults, children, and yes, even pets!
